There is a world out there to be seen and to be experienced. However, there is no way we can explore everything around the globe in a heart beat. There must be a way to do things, and do all of them! Cruising offers a different way to see the world. By going on board a ship and cruising through the canals or seas, we are able to view a different part of the world and see things we don't normally get to see in our own country.

If you have three weeks to spare, it is best to spend it on a cruise. Choose a long cruising package that allows you to visit as many countries as possible, so you get to see and experience different things in your three weeks. It is of course a very long time and you might not feel like being on a ship for that long, but think of the time you get to spend in different countries and the gorgeous scenery from the river banks towards the mainland - they are definitely worth the time and money you spend.

What can you do on board a three-week cruise?

There are things to do on board and on shore. Most of the time, you will find that sun bathing on the deck is best when it is sunny. Swimming in the pool is also a great way to relax. If you are a golfer, playing golf is definitely an onboard activity. Don't forget time for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Some ships have casinos on board, so you can play a few rounds. Otherwise, rest in your cabin or feel the breeze on the deck while reading a nice book or simply enjoying the sea view.

In the evening, there will be shows from top performers to entertain you before you rest in your cabin for the night. Kids will get to have all the fun they need during the day. With kid's activities to occupy their time, you will get more time to spend to (or on) yourself without the kids. Pamper yourself with a spa treatment and sauna anytime you want, without disturbance.

When you are on shore, shopping and sight seeing are really important. Shop for the local specialties as you might not get the same thing in your area. Sight seeing while taking pictures is excellent to preserve wonderful memories. It is unlikely you will be visiting the same place over again, so take as many photos as possible as souvenirs, so you will have something to reflect upon when you have gone home. Spend time with the locals to get to know more about that place or its history. Just be sure to head back to the ship on time before departure.

Three weeks is not long enough to see the whole world, but you can optimise your time to visit as many places as possible and view different places, so you are not wasting your cruise holiday. It is not everyday that you get to visit so many different countries within a short time and while you have the opportunity, use it wisely.
